From Raw Data to Rich Stories: Navigating Qualitative Data

Qualitative data can provide rich and nuanced information that has many applications, from improving program implementation to understanding community needs.

Navigating the design of qualitative tools and data analysis may feel overwhelming, but building an understanding of the key considerations can help smooth the process and ensure you end up with useful, actionable information.

Join Wilder Research to explore the role of qualitative data in evaluation, why and how to use it, and how to analyze it.

We’ll walk you through:

  • Questions to ask when considering qualitative data collection
  • Common challenges and suggested approaches
  • Creative data collection beyond interviews and focus groups

This session is geared toward those who have some familiarity or experience with qualitative data – think of it as a ‘201’ level.

This interactive session will include group participation and breakout discussion portions. Come ready to talk about your experiences and what you’re hoping to grow into.

Who should attend?

These trainings are for nonprofit, foundation, and government staff and volunteers who are interested in building a foundational set of skills in program evaluation.
