As part of an effort to expand caregiver services to diverse communities, Wilder replicated the caregiver education program, Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC), specifically for Hmong-American caregivers in St. Paul, Minnesota. The goal of the Powerful Tools for Caregivers program is to help family caregivers of older adults develop and practice self-care “tools” to thrive as individuals while managing caregiving responsibilities. This demonstration project was a collaborative venture of Wilder’s Caregiver Services and Wilder’s Southeast Asian Services.
