Body

Rebound, Inc. and Raíces Sagradas Community Mental Health have been selected from 33 organizations serving culturally specific communities that applied for pro bono research and evaluation consultation assistance from Wilder Research. This work will support culturally specific organizations’ needs by providing useful, actionable research and evaluation services at no cost.

  • Rebound, Inc.’s vision is to eliminate reliance on the juvenile justice systems to meet the needs of Black youth. The organization provides culturally specific therapeutic group home and shelter programs for youth transitioning out of the juvenile justice system, or at risk for justice system involvement due to mental and behavioral health concerns, or child protection involvement. Wilder will work with Rebound to demonstrate the impact of their culturally specific approach.
  • Raíces Sagradas Community Mental Health provides culturally appropriate professional mental health services to individuals, couples, and families in Spanish and English. The organization primarily serves first- and second-generation immigrants from countries in Latin America and provides no-cost mental health services to treat the effects of complex trauma. Wilder will develop an updated logic model for the organization and an evaluation plan to measure the impact of a program where community leaders hold community conversations for Latinx immigrants on the effects of trauma.

In late 2020, Wilder Research invited applications from culturally specific organizations in need of useful, actionable research and evaluation services at no cost. Wilder Research has dedicated funding to support research projects with culturally specific organizations or organizations working to meet the needs of communities of color and other communities (e.g., LGBTQ, specific disability communities) since 2015.
