Walker’s work focuses mainly on managing the implementation of the Minnesota and Reservation Homeless Studies: guiding research processes, coordinating across partners, and ensuring that stakeholders understand the story behind the numbers with findings that are accessible, accurate, and actionable. Walker joined Wilder in 2011.
After spending 15 years working as a data analyst at Wilder Research, Walker has moved into a researcher role, combining strong analytical expertise with a talent for communication and relationship-building. In his role as co-director of the Minnesota and Reservation Homeless Studies, he aims to use these talents alongside a dedication to using data and research in the service of informing policies and programs that strengthen communities.
Walker has a Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
Outside of work, Walker loves hanging out at home with his family, listening to music, reading, and habitually over-ordering delivery pizza.
