Start Noticing is a coalition working to eliminate the harmful effects of tobacco use and exposure, especially among vulnerable youth, through community engagement, education, and policy implementation. Wilder Research conducted surveys to study issues and attitudes related to tobacco use practices, policies, and ordinances within multi-unit housing, day care, and foster care environments. After smoke-free policies and ordinances were implemented, day care and foster care providers and housing owners/managers were interviewed regarding the impacts of the policies/ordinances.
