This report presents the results of a 2022-23 student survey that asked about the impact Hlub Zoo had on students’ overall mental health and well-being and relation to cultural identities.
Hlub Zoo (pronounced LOO-ZHONG), meaning “love well” and “grow well,” is a culturally specific school-based, trauma-informed, mental health program for Hmong youth provided by the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation. The program serves elementary-age children and their families participating in Saint Paul Public Schools.
