Morris Goodwin, Jr. has a broad career in finance with both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Since August 2022, Morris began a new phase of his career as managing director of Forge North, a startup ecosystem platform, as well as executive financial advisor of the Greater MSP Regional Economic Partnership. From 2014 to 2022, Morris served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of American Public Media Group (APMG), the parent organization of Minnesota Public Radio. Prior to joining APMG, Morris served as the vice president of finance and administration for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation. Previously Morris served as president and executive principal of The Hogan Group a private investment banking firm; executive vice president and chief financial officer of Vivius Inc., a consumer health care technology company; senior vice president and treasurer at Deluxe Corporation; vice president and corporate treasurer of American Express Financial Advisors in Minneapolis and has held various other positions in commercial and investment banking – including stays at JP Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley. Morris is a graduate of Williams College (BA) and Stanford University (MBA).
Morris also serves as Director and Audit Committee Chair with HealthPartners Inc,; trustee for the F.R. Bigelow Foundation; Board of Trustees Vice Chair for Episcopal Church in Minnesota; Investment Advisory Council Director for MN State Board of Investments; Vice Chair for Twin Cities Rise Board of Directors; Director Emeritus for Metropolitan Economic Development Association; and Clergy Member for Episcopal Church of Minnesota Diaconate.
