Racial Equity Action Support Network

Bringing racial equity champions and advocates together across Minnesota

The Racial Equity Action Support Network (REASN) brings together racial equity champions and advocates from community, nonprofit, and government organizations across Minnesota, providing them a space:

  • For support in doing the challenging work of creating racial equity
  • To strategically advance new thinking and action in their work.

Minnesota has some of the worst racial disparities in the nation—disparities that threaten our economic vitality and future prosperity. This interdisciplinary network serves as a space to foster meaningful and reflective conversations about the assumptions and norms that prevent progress

About REASN

What We Do

We have many racial equity advocates in Minnesota, but often these community leaders are working in isolation. Through REASN, community leaders find connections and collaborations with others at the leading edge of racial equity work.

Together, we are working to achieve racial equity in Minnesota by:

  • Increasing collaboration
  • Creating a space for shared learning and co-creating solutions
  • Identifying assumptions and norms that are perpetuating inequity and identifying new norms to work towards together
  • Developing a repository of "what works," generated by racial equity leaders in Minnesota
  • Integrating new learning into practice
  • Identifying coaching strategies to assist others in learning and shifting perspectives and behaviors
