Yasmin (Yaz) Aden (She/Her) is an Enrollment and Outreach Coordinator dedicated to career development and apprenticeship programming for underserved communities in the Twin Cities. She works from a simple but radical belief: economic agency is not a privilege, it is something everyone is entitled to, and that the right program at the right moment can change the entire trajectory of a person’s life. In her current role she manages outreach, enrollment, and participant support across multiple programs, meeting people at pivotal moments in their lives, and helping them build pathways toward long term economic independence. She joined CEP to build the legislative fluency and coalitions needed to drive meaningful policy change in economic mobility and housing justice in Minnesota.
Yasmin is a first generation college graduate whose academic path was shaped by questions of diaspora, identity, and power. She holds a dual B.A. in Digital and Computational Studies and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from Bowdoin College, with a minor in Africana Studies. Her professional path has moved through statewide multilingual civic outreach at a state agency, NSF published geospatial field research in Belize, equity focused grant evaluation, and Mental Health First Aid training, each chapter deepening her understanding of who systems serve and who they leave out. Through CEP, she hopes to build the legislative fluency and coalitions needed to drive meaningful policy change in economic mobility and housing justice in Minnesota.
