Giselle Martinez-Izea

Giselle Martinez-Izea (She/Her) is passionate about public health, policy, and sociology. She is a first-generation Puerto Rican and Venezuelan and currently lives in Eagan. As a Public Health Specialist at the Minneapolis Health Department, she leads an internship program for youth and young adults to become involved and learn about public health, in addition to assisting in health equity planning, outlining strategic plans and goals of the Health Department. Giselle applied for the Community Equity Program to learn more about the intricacies of how public policy operates at the local level. She is excited to meet others with the same passion for public policy and building meaningful connections.
