Abigail (Gael) Palen

Abigail (Gael) Palen (She/They) is from Minneapolis, raised in a multicultural household speaking Spanish and English. Gael loves storytelling, particularly through creating films for social justice, and enjoys acting in film and theatre. Their job as a housing case manager is one of the things that motivated them to apply for CEP though they have always been passionate about human rights, inspired by stories of their grandfather’s activism during the Guatemalan civil war. Gael has been working towards doing more activism themselves and believes CEP can help them continue their journey. Gael’s hobbies include karaoke, thrifting, spending time in nature, and watching anime.
