Jacqueline Zhang supports and assists with a variety of projects across Wilder Research. She has a wide range of research interests including housing and homelessness, community safety, labor economics, and education equity, as well as the intersections of these topics with race, gender, and class. She is passionate about producing high-quality research that informs policy and funding decisions that materially improve the lives of our communities.
Jacqueline is a born and bred Minnesotan and brings a background in communications, grassroots organizing, and public policy. Before Wilder, she worked at an Asian-focused advocacy nonprofit based in Saint Paul, organizing around issues like housing justice, sexual health, youth development, and civic engagement. She also spent a year as a research assistant at the Heller-Hurwicz Economics Institute doing work around early childhood investment and outcomes. She is involved in a variety of community-based efforts to build political power among Asian Americans and mobilize them towards collective liberation.
Jacqueline graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with bachelor’s degrees in political science and economics and a minor in public health. She enjoys tending to her plants, being caffeinated, and taking full advantage of our vibrant local arts and music scene.
