“Writing is more than its final product. It is a process of critical thinking, fueled by information, context, and collaboration.”
Stephanie specializes in translating complex data into clear, actionable findings. After joining Wilder in 2012, Stephanie worked as a researcher—designing, managing, and implementing evaluation projects with partners across the country. In 2023, she turned her research experience and love of writing into a new position, which is focused on creating high-quality publications that any audience can use.
Stephanie has authored dozens of reports on a wide range of topics, especially child and family well-being, housing, and homelessness. She enjoys collaborating on research that drives data-informed decision-making.
She is a lead writer for the Minnesota Homeless Study, has collaborated on multiple legislative reports, supports her colleagues in their writing, and serves on Wilder’s Institutional Review Board. Her most recent publication is an issue brief focusing on the disproportionate impacts of homelessness among Native Americans in Minnesota. Other examples of her recent work include reports to the Department of Public Safety and Department of Corrections.
Stephanie has a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, where she studied classics and anthropology.
Outside of work, Stephanie is immersed in a good book, gardening, or having fun with her family.
