Carrie has over 15 years of research experience with a focus on public health and health care. Her areas of expertise and key interests are structural and social determinants of health, equitable access to care, health insurance coverage, and health system design. Carrie joined Wilder in 2021.
Some of Carrie’s recent clients include Children’s Minnesota, Gillette Children’s, Alluma, Dakota County Public Health, Portico Healthnet, Minnesota Department of Health, and Minnesota Department of Human Services. Carrie’s evaluation work includes evaluation design and implementation, looking at both processes and outcomes. She especially enjoys designing and implementing community health needs assessments and working collaboratively with clients to identify their evaluation priorities and goals.
Before joining Wilder Research, Carrie was a research fellow at the State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC) at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health where she specialized in qualitative health policy evaluations. Carrie has a master’s degree in public health from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Macalester College.
