In 2024, the Oral Health Task Force worked with Wilder Research to evaluate its model and assess impacts on children’s academic performance and overall health. This report presents the results of the study.
The Oral Health Task Force, led by Sawtooth Mountain Clinic, is dedicated to increasing access to dental care among children in Cook County, Minnesota, including the Grand Portage Reservation. By leveraging strong partnerships with schools, the local dental clinic, and many other partners, the task force provides universal oral health screenings, education, and financial assistance to ensure timely, accessible dental care for children in the region.
