The Women’s Recovery Services initiative provides comprehensive, gender-specific, family-centered services for the clients in their care. This report provides an evaluation of program activities from June 2012 through March 2016. Results show that clients showed improvements across multiple areas at program exit, although only some clients maintained these positive outcomes at follow-up. Higher levels of service resulted in better outcomes.

Project Name

Women’s Recovery Services (WRS) is an initiative of the Minnesota Department of Human Services Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. Grantees across Minnesota provide treatment support and recovery services for pregnant and parenting women who have substance use disorders and their families. The evaluation includes process and outcome evaluations and a cost-benefit analysis.
