This report summarizes the work of the Task Force on Domestic Violence and Firearm Surrender and presents findings from interviews with task force members, a literature review that focused on best practices, a review of Minnesota statutes, and a review of existing data.
During the 2024 Minnesota legislative session, state legislators passed an act requiring the creation of a task force called the Task Force on Domestic Violence and Firearm Surrender to better understand firearm surrender laws.
