This study was conducted to explore the validity of a trauma pre-screen tool for children in the child welfare system who have experienced trauma. The purpose of the tool is to accurately identify children who have experienced high levels of trauma in order to provide them with referrals or interventions that might mitigate the impact of trauma exposure.
