Judy Kishel has extensive volunteer, leadership and board service experience with a wide range of organizations throughout the Twin Cities and internationally. From social services, education, women’s issues, access to healthcare, voluntarism and the arts, she has led Boards, event-planned, fundraised and friend- raised in her effort to help create, build and maintain a vibrant community. Currently, she also sits on the Board of the Ramsey county Historical Society.
Judy earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota as well as a registered Dental Assisting Certificate. She earned Certified Dental Assisting and Teaching Certificates from Century College. She held leadership positions on the Boards of the Minnesota Dental Assistants Association and the Saint Paul District Dental Assistants Society, was a consultant to the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, served on the Education Committee of the Minnesota Dental Association and sat on Advisory Committees for Dental Assisting Programs at Hennepin County Technical College, Century College and Normandale College. Judy also has extensive parliamentary procedure training. An avid and experienced needlepointer, she was chosen to stitch a bench cushion cover with the Seal of the Diocese of Minnesota Episcopal Church. It now resides in the choir stall area of the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. with the needlepointed Seals of all 111 U.S. Dioceses.
Judy’s past board service includes the Region’s Hospital Foundation, Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota, Girl Scouts Council of the St Croix Valley, F. R. Bigelow Foundation, Children’s Hospital Association, Children’s Hospital of Saint Paul and Children’s Health, Courage Center Foundation, WAMSO and the Minnesota Orchestral Association Junior League of Saint Paul and Association of Junior Leagues International, Home of the Good Shepherd, Convent of the Visitation School, Ramsey County Libraries Foundation, New Century Club and Thursday Club
