Minnesota and Reservation Homeless Studies

Jorge Martinez

Jorge Martinez (He/Him) is a proud first-generation Salvadoran American. He was born in New York but has called Minnesota home for the past 25 years, giving him the hustle of a big city with the heart of a Midwesterner. He is passionate about empowering communities and helping people unlock their full potential. He currently serves as the Executive Support and Organizational Projects Coordinator at Centro Tyrone Guzman in Minneapolis. Before this role, he worked in community organizing, spent time in corporate America, and ultimately chose to return to community work because it aligns with his values and purpose. He applied to the CEP program because he wants to strengthen his organizing and leadership skills while learning how to develop policies that create lasting, positive change. He is excited to grow alongside other leaders who are committed to building stronger, more equitable communities.
