Edith leads research and evaluation studies in the areas of education, youth development, and human services. She joined Wilder in 1995.
She has extensive experience working with school districts, institutions of higher education, government agencies, foundations, and community organizations to produce research that is useful for program, organization, and system improvements. Her recent work involves examining the outcomes of American Indian students with disabilities; the implementation of microcredential courses for educators of multilingual learners; the implementation and outcomes of a citywide network of out-of-school-time programs; the effectiveness of full service community schools and Promise Neighborhood initiatives; a STEM education partnership; and college access and success programs.
Edith has a doctorate in human development and family studies from Iowa State University, a master’s degree in child development, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
She serves on the Generation Next data committee, which is a coalition of civic, business, and education leaders in the Twin Cities dedicated to closing achievement and opportunity gaps, and she is on the planning team for Wilder Research’s monthly staff training meetings.
