Phil is a consultant who works on many phases of research projects, from proposals to data analysis and reporting. He joined Wilder in 1981 and has worked in nearly every area of the research office.
He has worked on numerous community surveys, most recently on a statewide survey of gambling behavior in the state of Maryland for the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He also focuses on the needs and experiences of the LGBTQIA2S+ population. He recently partnered with PFund Foundation, a community-led organization founded by and for the LGBTQ+ community, to conduct focus groups and community engagement for a community needs assessment for the Minnesota Council on LGBTQIA2S+ Minnesotans. Another recent project was to analyze and report on data from the 2023 Minnesota Homeless Study.
Phil has a master’s degree in history from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
