This report presents the results of a 2022-23 student survey that asked about the impact Hlub Zoo had on students’ overall mental health and well-being and relation to cultural identities.
Hlub Zoo (pronounced LOO-ZHONG), meaning “love well” and “grow well,” is a culturally specific school-based, trauma-informed, mental health program for Hmong youth provided by the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation. The program serves elementary-age children and their families participating in Saint Paul Public Schools.

Evaluation report from school year 2018-19. The purpose of the report was to document the challenges schools and the district face in serving Hmong students and their families and demonstrate the value of Hlub Zoo for students and families.
