The Women’s Recovery program provides treatment support and recovery services for pregnant and parenting women who have substance use disorders, and their families. Wilder Research conducted an evaluation of this initiative, including a process evaluation (description of clients served and services provided) and an outcome evaluation (changes in clients� sobriety, basic needs, and health and well-being, as well as a cost-benefit analysis). This is a summary of preliminary data from July 2011 and May 2012.

Project Name

Women’s Recovery Services (WRS) is an initiative of the Minnesota Department of Human Services Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. Grantees across Minnesota provide treatment support and recovery services for pregnant and parenting women who have substance use disorders and their families. The evaluation includes process and outcome evaluations and a cost-benefit analysis.
