Leadership at Wilder
Armando Camacho is President and CEO of Wilder, where he leads efforts to improve lives through direct services, research, and community building. As Wilder’s seventh president, he brings decades of leadership in nonprofits and education, grounded in his deep roots in Saint Paul.
Career and Experience
Prior to Wilder, Armando served as President and CEO of Opportunity Partners, one of Minnesota’s largest providers of employment and residential support for individuals with disabilities. He also led Neighborhood House through a strategic expansion to better address housing, education, and basic needs. His career began in public education, with leadership roles in both Saint Paul and Minneapolis school districts.
Roots and Local Commitment
Born in Puerto Rico and raised on Saint Paul’s West Side, Armando holds a bachelor’s in special education from St. Cloud State University and a master’s in education from St. Mary’s University. He has received numerous leadership honors and was named one of Twin Cities Business magazine’s “100 People to Know” in 2022. He currently serves on the boards of the Bush Foundation, Mardag Foundation, and Regions Hospital.
Armando lives in Roseville with his wife, Angela, and enjoys spending time with their two adult children.
