Symone Patton (She/Her) is a passionate advocate, systems thinker, and community-rooted leader who ensures the voices of those often overlooked are not only heard but centered. A proud North Minneapolis resident, she brings a deep love for her community into every space she enters. Symone currently serves as the Grant Compliance Manager at the Minnesota Homeownership Center and sits on the City of Minneapolis Housing Committee Board. Her background spans grant management, public service, and nonprofit leadership, with a focus on equity, housing, and wealth-building.
Her work is personal. Whether managing funds that support long-term stability, leading coalitions to push legislation forward, or challenging systems not built for everyone, she brings both lived experience and strategy to the table. She’s not afraid to speak up, especially when silence would cost too much. Symone is especially passionate about expanding wealth-building opportunities for Black and Brown communities. She holds a master’s degree in ministry leadership with a focus on Organizational Leadership.
