Saida Hassan (She/Her) is an international education expert and the founder of Hindis, a global education enterprise focused on foundational learning, and system-level education reform. Originally from Somalia, Saida brings deep cultural insight into her work and currently, she continues to bridge communities between the Somali diaspora and local education systems.
Saida is deeply passionate about inclusive education, literacy and system level change that drive academic achievement. She has led major initiatives, including leading the Education Sector Plan of (2021-2026) for the Federal Government of Somalia, Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education (MoECHE), the distribution of over 41,000 books to Somali schools and the development of a Somali language curriculum aligned with Minnesota state standards.
Saida applied for the Community Equity Program to strengthen her leadership in community-driven education efforts and to expand her impact at both grassroots and policy levels, including engaging with legislative processes and government systems. Her goal is to build more resilient and inclusive education systems that honor cultural identity while advancing equity and global learning benchmarks.
