Pha Chia Moua (She/Her) is a proud wife and mother of two young girls. A first-generation Hmong American born in a refugee camp, she brings over a decade of experience advancing racial and intersectional equity across education, nonprofit, and workforce sectors. Her work is deeply shaped by her lived experience and cultural identity. Pha Chia currently serves as the Senior Manager of School and Community Partnerships at Genesys Works Twin Cities, leading initiatives that expand economic mobility and internship access for underserved youth. She specializes in workforce development, cross-sector collaboration, and building equity-centered partnerships.
Pha Chia holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Minnesota and an M.A. in Public Policy and Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. After losing her brother and father to health conditions rooted in systemic inequities, Pha Chia turned grief into purpose. She leads with heart, honoring their legacy by fighting for families like hers. Through the Community Equity Program, she seeks to deepen her leadership and build power alongside others committed to transformational justice.
