Ibtisam Abdalla (She/Her) is a Workforce Program Coordinator dedicated to expanding equitable access to career opportunities in the energy efficiency sector. She partners with adult and young adult trainees from diverse and underserved communities, connecting them with training and certifications in HVAC, insulation, and energy auditing. She collaborates with partner organizations from program launch to completion and tracks data to report on program impact to utilities.
Raised in Minnesota and of Somali Barawani heritage, Ibtisam brings a multidisciplinary background in education and logistics to her work. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in EU, land, administrative, and intellectual property law. Ibtisam applied for the Community Equity Program to deepen her capacity to create inclusive pathways into clean energy careers, strengthen community partnerships, and advocate for policy reform at the Minnesota Legislature.
