Sameerah Bilal-Roby, director of the African American Babies Coalition and Projects, has been appointed to Saint Paul’s Financial Empowerment Community Council. This council will partner with the city’s Office of Financial Empowerment to monitor citywide financial empowerment indicators, providing feedback and advice about community engagement and partnerships, and reviewing the effectiveness of OFE activities and initiatives. Sameerah will be joined by more than a dozen Saint Paul community members on the council, including Wilder Research Scientist Nicole MartinRogers.
“I’m pleased to join this council as we work to create equitable economic power in Saint Paul,” says Sameerah. “The Office of Financial Empowerment has big ambitions that require voices and perspectives from within the community. I am happy to be at the table on behalf of the many partners and individuals working to advance the health of African American women, babies and families.”
