This report presents findings from the 2022 Minnesota Student Survey based on the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) approach. Findings are presented by demographic on the importance of students being healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. You’ll also find 9th grade trends and differences by demographic group. The data can help inform schools and whole communities about the current state of well-being among young people in Minnesota.

Project Name

The Minnesota Student Survey Interagency Team, with members from the Department of Human Services, Department of Public Safety, Minnesota Department of Education, and Minnesota Department of Health, contract with a vendor every three years to administer the Minnesota Student Survey. The 2022 survey was administered by Wilder Research. The census survey, primarily administered to 5th, 8th, 9th, and 11th graders across the state, covers topics ranging from academics, out of school time activities, health, relationships, safety and more.
