The Advocacy & Coalition Training Series is a three-part virtual training program created of the people, by the people, and for the people. For nonprofit professionals, community leaders, and grassroots organizers, this series equips participants with practical tools to build coalitions, engage communities, and influence change throughout Minnesota’s legislative process.
Unlike traditional advocacy trainings that focus on theory or insider knowledge, the series is community-grounded, nonpartisan, and built for real workloads. Each session emphasizes actionable strategies, clear timelines, and confidence-building approaches that help participants move from understanding advocacy to actually doing it.
Spanning from January through June, the series provides a cohesive learning pathway — from foundational advocacy skills to mid-legislative strategies to year-round coalition engagement. Participants leave with the skills, clarity, and momentum needed to turn conversations into action and sustain advocacy efforts beyond a single legislative session.
