Keven Ambrus leads Wilder’s financial strategy and operations as Chief Financial Officer, ensuring responsible stewardship of the organization’s resources. With a deep commitment to community impact, Keven develops financial goals, policies, and systems that support Wilder’s mission to improve lives and create lasting change in Greater Saint Paul and beyond.
Career and Experience
Keven brings a strong track record of leadership in both nonprofit and corporate sectors. Before joining Wilder in 2023, he served as CFO and COO at the Metropolitan Economic Development Association (MEDA), a nonprofit focused on the success of BIPOC entrepreneurs. His experience also includes roles at Propel Nonprofits and the Minnesota Children’s Museum. Prior to entering the nonprofit space, Keven held key positions in project and operations management at Cargill and Northwest Airlines (now Delta).
Roots and Local Commitment
Keven earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science from St. Louis University. He also serves on several boards and committees, including the Neighborhood Development Center, the GHR Foundation’s Finance Committee, MacPhail Center for Music, and HIRED, where he serves as treasurer.
He is a past president of the Alpha Phi Omega Theta Xi national service fraternity and was honored with the prestigious Tuskegee Airman Society Scholarship, recognizing his leadership and commitment to service.
Beyond his professional and volunteer endeavors, Keven is an avid traveler and culinary enthusiast who enjoys discovering new destinations with his family. He also enjoys golf, drawn to the strategy and challenge of playing diverse courses.
