A Day Spent Getting Things Ready
On a recent day at Wilder, teams from Blaze Credit Union and City & County Credit Union rolled up their sleeves to pack hygiene kits and snack packs for use across Wilder programs. The work was hands-on and collaborative—opening boxes, counting supplies, filling bags, and stacking finished kits, ready to be put to use.
Why These Kits Matter
Hygiene kits show up across Wilder. Staff share them as resources through our education partnerships and school-based mental health programs in moments when access to basic supplies can make the rest of the day run more smoothly.
These kits remove small but real barriers. They take one concern off someone’s plate so they can focus on an appointment, a class, or supporting their family. Over time, those small supports add up.
Snacks That Support the Day
Snack packs serve a similar purpose. Programs like Saint Paul Promise and the Child Development Center rely on them during long days of learning, meetings, and care. Other programs, like school-based mental health programs, do too.
They are an important tool for staff and families to support learning and treatment. It’s a simple resource, and one programs count on every day.
Showing Up Together
Throughout the day, staff and volunteers worked side by side—packing, talking, and finding an easy rhythm together. Everyone understood why the work mattered, and that shared purpose carried the day.
Partnerships like this make a real difference behind the scenes. We’re grateful to Blaze Credit Union and City & County Credit Union for showing up in this way—helping prepare resources our programs depend on and strengthening the network of support that surrounds the people Wilder serves every day.
