Daniel Deshon Hodges (He/Him) has been both a non-profit professional and theatre performer/ educational theatre educator for 20 years. He holds a B.A. in Communication Studies & English and a M.A. in Performance Studies from Washington University, St. Louis, MO. Daniel is a professional Midwesterner, as he was born in Chicago, IL, grew up in Sioux Falls, SD, and went to graduate school in Missouri before arriving in Minneapolis, MN 11 years ago.
Currently, Daniel works for the Greater Twin Cities United Way and is a head coach for the Apple Valley High School’s Speech & Debate Team. Education Equity and Upward Mobility are his primary advocacy passions, which is why he applied for the Community Equity Program at Wilder. With the experiences and training this program will provide, he can teach his students how to advocate for the things they care about in meaningful ways related to their education, their future, and more.
