United Way of Steele County Career Center Initiative: 2015-16 Evaluation Results

The evaluation focuses on who is accessing the Career Center Initiative, how the collaboration that runs the Career Center Initiative is operating and how it could be improved, and to what extent student participation in the Career Center Initiative affects students’interest and motivation to pursue highlighted career fields.

The Initiative aims to build interest and awareness about careers in the Owatonna area that pay a living wage. Wilder Research conducted an evaluation of the two main components of the Initiative: the Career Center at Owatonna Senior High School and Made In Owatonna tours that allowed students to learn from professionals at local businesses.
