Leadership at Wilder
For more than 30 years, Nona has been a cornerstone of Wilder’s work to support families and communities in Saint Paul. As Vice President of Economic Stability & Aging Services, she has led the division since 2016, guiding the Whole Family strategy—a coordinated, multi-generational approach that brings together Family Supportive Housing, Healthy Aging, Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood, the African American Babies Coalition and Projects, and the Child Development Center.
Career and Experience
A lifelong advocate for equity, Nona also leads Wilder’s Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) team, helping staff build the cultural agility needed to serve Minnesota’s increasingly diverse families.
Roots and Local Commitment
Nona earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tougaloo College and a Master of Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Management and the Public Sector at Hamline University.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking Minnesota’s state parks, and reading with her beloved “Book Club Sisters.” Nona lives by the wisdom in The Alchemist: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
