Kong Her is an investment executive with 25 years of experience spanning portfolio management and risk oversight, investment policy construction, strategic and tactical asset allocation, economic analysis and market research, and asset valuation. He has built large scale portfolio management platforms utilizing public, private and alternative investment vehicles, and has held tenures with some of the largest asset management firms in the industry. Kong received his BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with dual concentrations in finance and risk management and obtained his MS in quantitative finance from DePaul University.
Kong is an active member of the community. In addition to Wilder, he currently serves or has served with Headwaters Foundation for Social Justice, Neighborhood House, and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. He is also a founding member of Building More Philanthropy with Purpose (BMPP), a family-based philanthropic giving circle which has raised and distributed over $200k in micro-grants since 2014. Kong resides in the Shadow Falls neighborhood of Saint Paul with his wife, Kaohly, and daughters Taylor and Ayden. He enjoys spending time at their family’s hobby farm in Stillwater, Minnesota.
