Bryan Ebensteiner Named Chief Financial Officer

The Amherst H. Wilder Foundation is pleased to announce Bryan Ebensteiner has joined the Foundation as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Administration. As a member of the senior leadership team, Ebensteiner will be responsible for overseeing strategies related to finance, operations, and long-term stewardship activities that support Wilder’s goals to improve lives, strengthen communities and share insights through social issue and human service research.

“Wilder’s legacy of human service, of building hope and resiliency in communities is remarkable,” says Ebensteiner. “From pioneering programs that help families today and developing new civic leaders for tomorrow, to a research team that conducts comprehensive studies to spotlight contemporary social issues, this Foundation is at the heart of innovative human-centered, community development—with the pulse on what’s next. My goal is to see this great work continue for generations to come.”

Ebensteiner brings extensive experience in finance, human resources, information technology and change management to Wilder. As COO of UnitedHealthcare Global, Ebensteiner led a team of 420 across two global business units. Previously, he spent six years as CFO with the Minnesota Orchestra, and prior, 17 years with Northwest/Delta Airlines where he integrated two regional airlines to achieve significant annual savings. Ebensteiner serves on the Board of Directors of Great River Greening and Rayebird and has actively volunteered for and supported several human service organizations including Free Arts Minnesota, Breaking Free and Desert Aids.

“Bryan’s expertise will be invaluable to Wilder as we seek opportunities to increase our impact. We’re delighted he chose to join us,” says President and CEO MayKao Y. Hang.
