Piere Washington

Piere works with a variety of research and evaluation projects. She is broadly interested in matters of diversity, equity and inclusion and more specifically how to use data to eliminate poverty, promote antiracist efforts, and improve both academic and social outcomes for youth and their families. Prior to joining the Wilder Research team, she worked for AMO Enterprise as a DEI consultant and qualitative researcher. Additionally, Piere has experience teaching, working in student development, and engaging youth and parents in academic and community settings.

Piere holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a master of arts in education from DePaul University, and a bachelor of arts and bachelor of science from Loyola University Chicago. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, traveling, and trying new cuisines.
