Data Analysis Manager

Bio

Mark is responsible for conducting database programming and statistical analysis for Wilder Research studies. Additionally, he provides consultation on statistical procedures, reports, questionnaire design, and data collection methods to Wilder staff and to research client organizations.

Mark joined Wilder Research in 2001, bringing research experience in the fields of health care, education, human service, psychology, and business. He earned a master's degree in Psychology from Drake University, a master's degree in Educational Research from the University of South Carolina, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Science from Saint Cloud State University.

Gambling in Minnesota: A Study of Participation, Attitudes, and the Prevalence of Problem Gambling

Findings from this statewide survey indicate that over 56,000 adults in Minnesota are problem gamblers, with more than 160,000 adults who may need treatment for problem gambling.

Linking Health and Economic Prosperity: A Study of U.S. Metro Areas

Nov 2019

This national study examines the relationship between population health and economic activity in U.S. metropolitan areas. Results suggest that population health contributes meaningfully to a community’s economic strength, and that good community health helps protect against economic shocks.
