About this workshop:
How youth workers show up and their practices matter to young people. Come learn from Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI) youth leaders as they share their insights on program characteristics, culture and youth worker mindsets that are important to young people. YLI staff will share tools, strategies and practices that can transform your youth development programs. Participants will get a chance to discuss and apply these lessons to strengthen and improve the quality of their youth programming.

This workshop will be co-lead by adults and youth mentors. Youth mentors are young people in a youth program who are past participants and have been peer-nominated to return to lead the program in partnership with adults. They are actively involved in decision making, peer mentoring, designing and facilitating activities in the program.
