Wilder’s newly renovated Community Center for Aging opened in January 2011. This Center positions Wilder to lead the charge for transforming systems of care by demonstrating innovative community-based solutions that work. Our goal is to provide expanded support for caregivers and cost-effective services that enable older adults to remain in the community – healthy, active and engaged.

At the Center, older adults and their caregivers can access a broad spectrum of care based on their individual needs. On any given day, an older adult might work on a project in the art room, visit a health care professional, and consult with a memory loss specialist with their caregiver – all under the same roof. This person-centered model enables older adults to remain in the community by using a holistic approach to care.
