This presentation was given to the CURA Housing Forum at the University of Minnesota on May 18, 2007 (http://www.cura.umn.edu/forum.php). The presentation includes preliminary results from our study of current and future low-income housing needs in the East Metro: Anoka, Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington counties, including information on how many households are currently homeless or paying too much for housing, where subsidized units are located, and how many low-income households will be added to the area by 2020. The presentation also includes discussion of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency/Family Housing Fund's Next Decade of Housing report and the Metropolitan Council's projection of housing needs through 2020, as well as information about the Oregon Housing Needs Model that is being used to help develop our projections. The complete report will be published summer 2007.
