Rachel Hardeman

Research Associate

Rachel provides research and evaluation for a variety of projects with a focus on programs related to public health, health care and health disparities.

Prior to joining Wilder Research, Rachel worked for the University of Minnesota Powell Center for Women's Health creating and piloting a survey to assess the mental health needs of Latino migrant workers in South Central Minnesota.

Rachel holds a bachelor's of science in chemistry and Spanish from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in health policy from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration with an area of emphasis in the sociology of health and illness from the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health.

Recent projects

  • Evaluation, training, and technical assistance for a statewide alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention project.
  • Evaluation of the Medical Home Initiative for Children with Special Health Care Needs for the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • A review of collaborative learning methods and quality improvement approaches for statewide implementation of Health Care Home and an examination of evaluation methods and creation of an evaluation plan for Health Care Home Learning Collaboratives.
  • A statewide survey of Blandin Community Leadership Program alumni.
