Megan splits her time at Wilder Research between Minnesota Compass and the Sprockets/Promise Neighborhood citywide database. For Compass, she pulls indicator data from the U.S. Census, state departments, and other sources and analyzes that information to help give a picture of well-being in Minnesota’s communities. Megan also serves as the project manager for the citywide database that will eventually serve both Sprockets – Saint Paul’s out-of-school-time network – and the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood. Her responsibilities for that project involve designing forms and reports based on user input, monitoring data for accuracy, and coordinating trainings for end-users.
Before joining Wilder Research in spring 2011, Megan worked at the YWCA St. Paul doing database management. She also spent several years in higher education consulting, helping colleges use data to optimize enrollment, revenue, and student success. Megan has a B.A. in Mathematics and Hispanic Studies from Macalester College.
