Research Scientist

Maggie leads a range of evaluation studies related to children and families, with a particular focus on child welfare related programs. She is also involved in projects serving families and communities in areas of substance abuse prevention, treatment and recovery support.
Before joining Wilder Research in 2007, Maggie led the qualitative component of a 4-county study of racial disparities in Minnesota's child welfare system. She has also conducted research of case types of youth in out-of-home care, and has done program evaluation and strategic planning for Hennepin County's Volunteer and Community Partnership Program.
Maggie has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Minnesota, a Masters in Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, and a B.A. in Social Work from St. Olaf College. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
