MayKao Hang became the 6th President and Chief Executive Officer of the Wilder Foundation on June 24, 2010. MayKao served as the Foundation’s Director of Children and Family Services from August 2007 until the Board of Directors unanimously selected her as the Foundation’s President Designate on April 22, 2010.

Prior to joining Wilder, MayKao served as Director of Adult Services for Ramsey County Human Services and as the Director of Resident Services for the St. Paul Public Housing Agency. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Brown University, Providence, RI.  She earned her Master of Arts in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and is currently a doctoral candidate in Public Administration at Hamline University, where she is studying private-public partnerships.
