Research Scientist

Laura works on a range of evaluation and research projects. Her work includes evaluations of the Community Involvement Program for Cummins Power Generation, Wilder's Residential Services Programs, Cargill Scholars, and Destination 2010 for the Minneapolis Foundation. Her research and technical assistance projects include work for the Minnesota Department s of Public Safety and Human Services, and the Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County. Among her skills are partnering with clients to design evaluations, create logic models, and develop data collection instruments. She is also skilled in conducting evaluation trainings, monitoring data collection, reporting results, and presenting results to varied audiences.
Prior to joining Wilder Research in 2000, Laura worked as a researcher and evaluator for the State of Minnesota. She has a Master of Public Affairs degree in public policy and nonprofit management from Indiana University and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. In addition to working at Wilder Research, Laura teaches an undergraduate course in Program Evaluation.
