Jose specializes in cost-benefit estimations and application of econometric models. He contributes to program evaluation projects and other applied research where economic analysis is used.
Jose’s interests include microfinance, economic analysis of small business, and economics of education. He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Carabobo, from his native Venezuela, a masters degree in public administration from Hamline University, and he is currently a Ph.D. candidate from the Applied Economics Department at the University of Minnesota. Jose has taught economic theory in several prestigious universities including the Hubert Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and the University of St. Thomas.
